Hi Sis,
Just got a call from Peggy this morning, C.B.
Cummins passed away yesterday so his wife &
family will need prayer to help them get through
this. Also she said Sherry fell again & she
also said something about her liver & kidneys so
apparently the cancer must have spread. It
started out as Cervical cancer. I didn't know
anything about her liver & kidneys.
Please continue her in your prayers. Thank
you. Will keep you updated.
Love you, Sis

My cousin Peggy called again this afternoon with 2 more prayer
requests. One is for Darrell's 1st wife, Sherry Miller. She's
going in for another cancer treatment tomorrow & she's not doing
very well. She has been really weak. She didn't make it to
church Sunday (and she very seldom misses church), because she
had fallen Saturday & was so weak she couldn't get up by
herself. The other prayer request is for a lady named Ruth
Feese. I don't know her, at least not by name. I think she
must be a member of the First Church. I didn't get any
information on her as Peggy left me the message on my phone. We
sure do appreciate your prayers.

Tough times don't last... Tough people do !!!
My name is Gary Hogan. Some of you receiving this know me, some do not. My wife,
Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed 3 days ago with stage 4
cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim. She was pregnant
with our second child and had miscarried recently at 3 months, and now we know
why.
This is a request for you to forward this e-mail to every one you know asking
for prayer. The more people that pray for her to be healed, the better.
Pray and forward. It only takes a second to hit 'forward'.
Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer can, and perhaps will, save her
life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray for the HEALING of Cindy and
the removal of all cancer in her body, so she may enjoy all that life has to
offer, and to continue to be the wonderful mother to our 5 year old son,
Michael. The
power of Prayer is unsurpassed. I want the whole world to have her in their
prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our cry. Please do not be offended by
my plea..
This is only a request for your help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for
reading this and helping with our request for healing! No words can express the
power we have when we each do a little to come together.
Regards, Cindy's in-love husband - Gary

He accidently hit his little 4 year old sister in the head with it. She was seen by a doctor and sent home. She threw up all night so she was taken back to the doctor yesterday. He sent her to Clinton for a CAT scan. For some reason they couldn't do it at Clinton and sent her on to Weatherford. They discovered her skull had been fractured. She was Medi-flighted to Children's Hospital in OKC.This morning they did surgery and removed 3 pices of shattered bone, one which was lodged in her brain. Please, please keep this family in your prayers.6 September 2007
I think some of you called LeRoy on the phone last night, but I'm going to send this to you all anyway. The Doctor at the Cancer Center said LeRoy's cancer is in re-mission. He doesn't even have to do anymore testing until November. He'll have the scope done again then. Yesterday was the last time he took that Gleevec medicine. We are really hoping some of his cramps ease up some now. Oh yes, I forgot, they also took a mole off of him & had it biopsied. The doctor got the results back and she said it would have turned to cancer but wasn't quite there yet.We are a little tired today. It feels like we were holding our breath for six months & are able to finally let it out. We didn't even realize it until we started to "let go". God has really been good to us & we do appreciate it!!! Thank you all for your prayers!Luv you Paula & LeRoy

(He was bow-legged.)Psalm 19:14 - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.Thank you all for keeping my mother in your prayers.
Please continue to pray for her over the next three
days as she makes her way home to us.
When I talked with her she said they had her off the
oxygen and nearly all the tubes. She still had some IV
tubes or some kind of feeding tubes in her but she
will be off of them when she comes home.
Again, thank you and continue to keep her in your prayers.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. Jeremiah 29:12
Prayers for men and women of our armed forces.
The Marine's Prayer
Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.
Amen
O Lord Most High,
help me to dwell in your secret place and abide under Your shadow.
Help me to believe and say out loud for everyone to hear that You are my refuge
and my fortress; that You are my God; and that in You I put my trust.
O Lord God Almighty, please deliver me from hidden traps and diseases.
Father God, cover me with Your camouflage; hide me under Your wings; and let
Your truth be my shield and buckler against the fiery darts—the lies—of the
enemy.
Lord Jesus, help me not to be afraid of terrorists' attacks in the night; or
weapons that fly by day; or sicknesses that walk in darkness; or destruction
that wastes at noonday.
O Holy God, though a thousand fall at my side, and ten thousand fall at my right
hand; please let it not come close to me and my companions.
O Lord Most High, let me live to see the reward of the wicked, because You are
my refuge and my home. Let no evil conquer me and let no plague come into my
house or near my family.
O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer, please set angels over me to keep me in all
Your ways, to bear me up in their hands and to keep my feet from stumbling.
Father God, help me to tread upon the lion and adder and trample the young lion
and the dragon under my feet.
Lord Jesus, I love you with all my heart and I know Your name. Deliver me and
lift me on high to soar with the eagles. I call upon you to be with me in times
of trouble to deliver and honor me because I know Your name. Please show me
Your salvation and satisfy me with a long life.
I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ
Amen.
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
Grant no other sailor take
my shoes and socks before I wake.
Lord grant me in my slumber
and keep my hammock on its number,
May no clews or lashings break
and let me down before I wake.
Keep me safely in thy sight
and grant no fire drill tonight
and in the morning let me wake
breathing scents of sirloin steaks.
God protect me in my dreams
and make this better than it seems.
Grant that time may swiftly fly
when myself shall rest on high.
In a snowy feather bed
where I long to rest my head,
far away from all these scenes
and from the smell of halfdone beans.
Take me back into the land
where they don't scrub down with sand.
Where no demon typhoon blows
and where the women wash the clothes.
God thou knowest all my woes,
feed me in my dying throes.
Take me back, I promise then,
never to leave home again.
God guard and guide us as we fly
Through the great spaces of the sky;
Be with us as we take to air
In morning light and sunshine fair.
Eternal Father, strong to save,
Give us courage and make us brave;
Protect us whereso'er we go,
From shell and flak and fire and foe.
Most loved member of our crew.
Ride with us up in the blue.
Direct our bombs upon the foe
But shelter those whom Thou dost know.
Keep us together on our way,
Grant our work success today.
Deliver us from hate and sin,
And bring us safely down again.
O God protect us as we fly
Through lonely ways across the sky.
