Thank you for your support in this ministry!

Hi to all: Below is an update on our prayer request from Julie Crawford.

Newly is still in OU medical center. He is being kept in a drug induced coma to facilitate his healing process. His fractured pelvis is not being operated on because it is perfectly aligned and with his age. He should heal without surgery. They have been bringing him out partially each day he was aware enough on Sunday afternoon to give his mother the thumbs up. He does not know anything about the accident.

Crystal has a fractured collar bone, broken ribs and a fractured pelvis. Word on Sunday was they were still deciding whether to do surgery or not. She does not know anything about the accident or Andrea’s death. She is at Presbyterian.

Daniel walked away from the accident without any serious body injury. He is hurting in way most of us could not comprehend. They brought him home from OKC Saturday morning but by six thirty that evening he told his mother he was ready to go back. She had only enough time to do two loads of laundry before they left again.

Andrea’s funeral was this morning. The Junior and Senior high School dismissed classed at 10:30 and ran buses for anyone who wanted to attend. The funeral was at the large Methodist church in Woodward and it was overflowing with people. I did not attend, but Tom did and had to sit in an overflow area.

I just learned from the obituary that Andrea’s special friend is Dan’s brother’s nephew. Tom refers to him at his cousin even though there is no blood relation there. Please keep Robert Haller in your prayers also.

The senior class raised about a thousand dollars on Friday alone. This week is homecoming and the sophomore class does a hamburger cookout as a fund raiser for prom. The proceed this year will be donated to the families. As a community and church who have witnessed, struggled and healed thru situations like these we covet your prayers for the families of Newly Abbot, Crystal Green McCoy, Daniel Craw, Andrea Hollister, and Robert Haller who was not involved in this accident but involved from the stand point of a
young heart caring for another. For the student body of Mooreland High School, and the Church that three of these young people attend.

May God bless each of you as you take time to pray for each of these. Thank you are not big enough words to express the gratitude we feel knowing others help us bear what we cannot bear alone.

Julie

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Thank you for your support in this ministry!

This email is from Julie Crawford.
Kathy, four youth from Mooreland were involved in an accident on a dirt road west of town. One was killed the other three injured.
You may remember the Abbott family, Alan and Donna’s son Newley was critically injured. He broke both clavicals(collar bone) one hip and has bleeding in his brain. Doctors are concerned about the bleeder but believe he will make it thru.

Daniel Craw was the least injured and at last update he was being checked thoroughly but believed to be ok.

The fourth is the only one I don’t know Crystal McCoy left the accident in a neck brace. Both she and Newley were mediflighted to OKC.

The girl who died is Andrea Hollister. Please ask for prayers for the families and the community. They were out close to the landfill - another vehicle was involved but there was no report to the status of the people in it.

2 Samuel 22:7 In my distress I called to the LORD; I called out to my God. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came to His ears.

Lona's daughter Amy, had the most precious little girl named Emma. She has a desire for life & is a joy just to be around.

Emma was born with her intestines/organs on the outside of her body. Most babies don't last long at all when this happens. Emma has a lot going for her with Amy being her mother & Lona being her grandmother. She also has a very highly skilled & unique doctor. He is trying a new method of wraping an "innertube" (that's the best way I can explain it) around her exposed organs - putting the wrap over it & around her little body to give it time to produce naturally a skin covering. They knew she had another surgery coming up in March, but on the last visit, the doctor has moved it up to the 3rd of October.

The doctors say they don't even know what to expect until they get inside her tummy. She is having some back-wash from her bladder & they have her on antibiotics for that. But it is probably the least of her problems. Lona was unable to go to the doctor with them this time & Amy was so blown away from everything they were telling her & moving the surgery up & all. So, there are somethings that are a little vague.

What we do know, is this sweet, precious little thing Emma, her mother, Amy, her grandmother Lona & all of the rest of this close knit family need prayers & they need them now!
Thank you & I love you all,
Mom/Paula

Hi all,

God is so GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am attaching a photo that I took last Saturday at a junior pro football jamboree. It is hard to believe that 10 weeks ago Allison had surgery to replace the bone in her upper leg and less than 6 weeks ago under went extensive and abrasive chemo that virtually destroyed her whole system. She was even at church Sunday and can now have limited access to crowds although we still cannot hug her.

She has about 15 more radiation treatments and then hopefully she is through forever with all these treatments.

Keep praying that this cancer is gone completely but lets all rejoice in what God has done.

Courtney also got to go home and take her radiation in Knoxville.

Larry

Please keep Shanna Dorman and her family in your prayers.
She has had some seizures and is in ICU at the Elk City.
They are doing testing today.

Psalm 40:1-3 (NKJV) I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.

This is an add on to Paula's prayer request from yesterday.

The baby is in worse shape then they originally thought yesterday.  Not only is the left side of his heart not developed, he also has a hole in it, cysts in his brain, gall bladder & other parts in his body.  The doctors do not expect him to survive.  The doctors feel it is an extra chromosome problem. There will be more testing done next week if the baby is still alive.  Please pray for God's will & ask Him (and Thank Him) for being with all of us, especially his mama & daddy.  The pain is great!.  They waited 6 years for a baby.   If by chance the little guy does make it, we are going to need divine guidance on how God wants us to help him.
Love you all, Paula

I just received a call from Alaska, my great grandchild, Zac, due in June - has major problems.  The most serious starting with his heart.  The doctor they saw today said they might have to send her to Portland.  I don't really know many particulars at this time.  They go to see a specialist tomorrow and we will learn more.

We already have Chris & Francis Miller on our prayer chain.  Please add their baby Zac!

Would you pray for Solomon (one of the twin grandchildren).  He is having trouble with his bowel.  They discovered blood in the stool this morning and quite concerned about it.  He is going without any food except in the veins right now to give his bowel a rest.  They are hoping to not have to operate.  Thank you,  Liz

Subject: Update from Paula Miller

Hi Sis,
Just got a call from Peggy this morning, C.B. Cummins passed away yesterday so his wife & family will need prayer to help them get through this.  Also she said Sherry fell again & she also said something about her liver & kidneys so apparently the cancer must have spread.  It started out as Cervical cancer.  I didn't know anything about her liver & kidneys. Please  continue her in your prayers.  Thank you.  Will keep you updated.
Love you, Sis

The following prayer request came from Paula Miller.  I believe this came from her sister.

My cousin Peggy called again this afternoon with 2 more prayer requests.  One is for Darrell's 1st wife, Sherry Miller.  She's going in for another cancer treatment tomorrow & she's not doing very well.  She has been really weak.  She didn't make it to church Sunday (and she very seldom misses church), because she had fallen Saturday & was so weak she couldn't get up by herself.  The other prayer request is for a lady named Ruth Feese.  I don't know her, at least not by name.  I think she must be a member of the First Church.  I didn't get any information on her as Peggy left me the message on my phone.  We sure do appreciate your prayers.

My name is Gary Hogan. Some of you receiving this know me, some do not. My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed 3 days ago with stage 4 cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim. She was pregnant with our second child and had miscarried recently at 3 months, and now we know why.
This is a request for you to forward this e-mail to every one you know asking for prayer. The more people that pray for her to be healed, the better.

Pray and forward. It only takes a second to hit 'forward'.

Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer can, and perhaps will, save her life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray for the HEALING of Cindy and
the removal of all cancer in her body, so she may enjoy all that life has to offer, and to continue to be the wonderful mother to our 5 year old son, Michael. The
power of Prayer is unsurpassed. I want the whole world to have her in their prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our cry. Please do not be offended by my plea..
This is only a request for your help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and helping with our request for healing! No words can express the
power we have when we each do a little to come together.

26 September (via Paula Miller)

This was just sent to me.

Please keep the Wedel family in your prayers.

Hi Everyone,

A couple of days ago Greg and Carla Wedel's son was swinging a golf club while playing.  He accidently hit his little 4 year old sister in the head with it.  She was seen by a doctor and sent home.

She threw up all night so she was taken back to the doctor yesterday.  He sent her to Clinton for a CAT scan.  For some reason they couldn't do it at Clinton and sent her on to Weatherford.

They discovered her skull had been fractured.  She was Medi-flighted to Children's Hospital in OKC.

This morning they did surgery and removed 3 pices of shattered bone, one which was lodged in her brain.
Please, please keep this family in your prayers.

I think some of you called LeRoy on the phone last night, but I'm going to send this to you all anyway.

The Doctor at the Cancer Center said LeRoy's cancer is in re-mission.  He doesn't even have to do anymore testing until November.  He'll have the scope done again then.   Yesterday was the last time he took that Gleevec medicine.  We are really hoping some of his cramps ease up some now.  Oh yes, I forgot, they also took a mole off of him & had it biopsied.  The doctor got the results back and she said it would  have turned to cancer but wasn't quite there yet.

We are a little tired today.  It feels like we were holding our breath for six months & are able to finally let it out.  We didn't even realize it until we started to "let go".  God has really been good to us & we do appreciate it!!!   Thank you all for your prayers!
Luv you Paula & LeRoy

Gerald and Kathy Stegall's great-nephew, Kade Taylor, has a mass between his baby teeth and his permanent teeth.  They are in the process of scheduling him for surgery to remove the mass.  The doctor has told the parents that it is usually not cancerous.  Kade has already had two surgeries this year to fix his legs.  (He was bow-legged.)

Please continue to pray for her over the next three

The Marine's Prayer

Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will.  Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear.  Protect my family.

Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm.  Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance.  Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me.  Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.

If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.

Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.

                                                                                                Amen

Soldier's Psalm 91 Prayer

By Harriet Yoder

O Lord Most High, help me to dwell in your secret place and abide under Your shadow.
Help me to believe and say out loud for everyone to hear that You are my refuge and my fortress; that You are my God; and that in You I put my trust.
O Lord God Almighty, please deliver me from hidden traps and diseases.
Father God, cover me with Your camouflage; hide me under Your wings; and let Your truth be my shield and buckler against the fiery darts—the lies—of the enemy.
Lord Jesus, help me not to be afraid of terrorists' attacks in the night; or weapons that fly by day; or sicknesses that walk in darkness; or destruction that wastes at noonday.
O Holy God, though a thousand fall at my side, and ten thousand fall at my right hand; please let it not come close to me and my companions.
O Lord Most High, let me live to see the reward of the wicked, because You are my refuge and my home.  Let no evil conquer me and let no plague come into my house or near my family.
O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer, please set angels over me to keep me in all Your ways, to bear me up in their hands and to keep my feet from stumbling. Father God, help me to tread upon the lion and adder and trample the young lion and the dragon under my feet.
Lord Jesus, I love you with all my heart and I know Your name.  Deliver me and lift me on high to soar with the eagles.  I call upon you to be with me in times of trouble to deliver and honor me because I know Your name.  Please show me Your salvation and satisfy me with a long life.
I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ
Amen.

A SAILOR'S PRAYER

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep,

Grant no other sailor take

my shoes and socks before I wake.

Lord grant me in my slumber

and keep my hammock on its number,

May no clews or lashings break

and let me down before I wake.

Keep me safely in thy sight

and grant no fire drill tonight

and in the morning let me wake

breathing scents of sirloin steaks.

God protect me in my dreams

and make this better than it seems.

Grant that time may swiftly fly

when myself shall rest on high.

In a snowy feather bed

where I long to rest my head,

far away from all these scenes

and from the smell of halfdone beans.

Take me back into the land

where they don't scrub down with sand.

Where no demon typhoon blows

and where the women wash the clothes.

God thou knowest all my woes,

feed me in my dying throes.

Take me back, I promise then,

never to leave home again.

"An Airman's Prayer"

God guard and guide us as we fly
     Through the great spaces of the sky;
Be with us as we take to air
In morning light and sunshine fair.
Eternal Father, strong to save,
     Give us courage and make us brave;
Protect us whereso'er we go,
From shell and flak and fire and foe.
Most loved member of our crew.
Ride with us up in the blue.
Direct our bombs upon the foe
But shelter those whom Thou dost know.
Keep us together on our way,
     Grant our work success today.
Deliver us from hate and sin,
And bring us safely down again.
O God protect us as we fly
Through lonely ways across the sky.
