Missions Committee
Missions Committee:
Purpose: Jesus commands us to be missionaries by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and caring for the sick. This committee is in charge of discovering which of these areas in our community, country, and world need to be met. We are to also keep a vision for the church.
Committee Oversight:
--To help plan and promote world and locale missions
-- To be aware of the immediate needs within our community
-- Help plan and coordinate events and ideas for such things as revival, youth revivals, retreats, etc.
-- Help with information in publications such as our newsletter and those of the denomination.
-- Help develop and keep a vision for the church
-- Food Baskets and Food Pantry
Questions to Ask:
-- How can we as a church better serve God by serving our fellow human?
-- Are there any immediate needs within our community?
-- Where are we as a church going?
-- What is our purpose and vision?
-- How are we going to fulfill that purpose?
