Building & Grounds Committee
Building and Grounds Committee:
Purpose: To make sure that the church is comfortable, appealing, and reflects a loving representation for a worshipful atmosphere.
Committee Oversights:
-Responsible for the maintenance and well being of the church facility.
-Oversee and plan workdays and upgrades to the facility (expansion, landscaping, etc.)
-Be aware for the need of repairs to the church facility and report it to the session.
-Be in charge of planning workdays for the church whenever the need arises.
-Supervise lawn mowing and review coverage of the building and facilities. (Insurance, liabilities)
-Make sure that the church van is properly serviced.
Things to ask and inspect at every meeting:
-Have the filters in the church been changed?
-Are their light bulbs that need to be changed?
-Walk through the church and look for repair needs
and safety hazards.
-Are there any long-term needs that the session needs to be aware of?
