Washita State Bank CUSTOMER APPRECIATION COOKOUT
DATE IS NOW 24 OCTOBER 2008. THAT'S STILL PLENTY OF TIME TO WORK UP AN
APPETITE! We hope to see you there!

The Station—a Mini Mall Opens This Month! We may be
a one stoplight town, but we now have our own mini mall. Located at 215 State
Highway 44—OK, just southeast of the stoplight, The Station offers a gift
store—Jordan’s Grandma, a health spa—Twilla Ion Foot Spa, and space for a third
business. Look for a grand opening in the next few days.
Mozelle’s Body Shop says give us a try! Formerly Mozelle’s Gift Gallery, this local business is changing to meet the business needs of our community. As the weather cools off, wouldn’t it be nice to have a place to workout indoors? Need a special piece of workout equipment, but can’t afford to buy one or don’t want to drive out of town to find a fitness center with one. Mozelle’s invites you to give them a try. They have fitness equipment, weights, tanning, a water table, sauna bed, and more. The first time is free and the rates are very reasonable. You may still purchase some small gifts and balloons. Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Town Council Meeting is scheduled for Monday, 8 October 2008. Expect to hear the auditor’s report for this year at the meeting. More civic information in next month’s newsletter.
Chamber to Meet October 20th. The Burns Flat Chamber of Commerce will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, 20 October 2008 at Jem Stones. The meeting is open to the public.

Beginning this month, the newsletter will also be posted online and archived for future retrieval. Just go to www.burnsflat.org and select community news—the bottom button on the left side.
Where is that address? Look for something next month on getting house numbers on houses or curbs for ease of locating, especially by emergency vehicles. Until then, here is the idiom for understanding house numbers aboard the base. A-South & West, B-North & East, Odd-South & West, Even—North & East. Numbers grow larger South to North and East to West.
